BDS Against George Galloway

By Gilad Atzmon
With BDS, it’s never boring. Although formed initially to mount pressure on Israel, increasingly BDS campaigns are now, bit by bit, focusing on silencing any pro-Palestinian voice with an IQ over 90. For the BDS leadership, intellect is a threat – and they may be right.

For a year now, we have noted BDS’ repeated assaults on leading activists and intellects such as Ken O’Keefe, Prof. Norman Finkelstein, Alison Weir, Greta Berlin, Daniel Barenboim, yours truly and many others. But this weekend, the BDS found a new potential punch-bag: British MP George Galloway.

On Wednesday, MP Galloway walked out of a debate at Christ Church, Oxford.  Galloway was upset to find that he was about to be in debate with an Israeli. “I was misinformed” he said. “I don’t debate with Israelis. I don’t recognise Israel.” Galloway later wrote on Twitter “No recognition, No normalisation. Just Boycott, divestment, sanctions.”

Now surely, Galloway’s reaction, though impulsive, must be accepted or at least understood by Palestinians and their advocates. Not so, it seems. The ‘Jews in the movement’ were really distressed, so much so that Israeli BDS enthusiast Rachel Shabi confirmed on The Guardian yesterday that the BDS national committee was quick ‘to issue a statement’ to disassociate itself from Galloway’s attitude. It looks like the BDS Committee in Ramallah has, once again, had to bow to its paymasters.
On The Telegraph Toby Young  maintained the exact same line. “Following George Galloway’s dramatic exit from an Oxford University debate” Young wrote,  A leading Palestinian organisation (BDS) has issued a press release saying it doesn’t  condone boycotting individuals.” Young concludes, “It seems the Respect MP hasn’t simply lost the respect of his political opponents after his antics at the Oxford debate. He’s losing the respect of his political allies, too.” Somebody in Ramallah better advise us why did BDS joined the  Hasbara campaign against MP Galloway. Seemingly in the BDS committee they are yet to grasp the notion of solidarity.

The BDS statement, brilliantly original as ever, reads as follows:
“The global BDS movement has consistently adopted a rights-based approach and an anti-racist platform that rejects all forms of racism, including Islamophobia and anti-Semitism.”

Pretty impressive. Anti-racism is certainly important except that Galloway did not once refer to Jews or to race. He referred to Israel and refused to debate an Israeli national. Now, I happen to think that Galloway was wrong but still, his decision, a purely political one, was entirely legitimate.
Interestingly, BDS leader Omar Barghouti is not exactly himself much of an anti-racist. In fact, it has amply demonstrated what a banal, racist mind he has. Recall how last year Barghouti was caught on video exploring some extremely vile, racist, biological determinist terminology when this essentially banal mind launched an attack on the White race.

For a while, Barghouti’s open racism bewildered me but I then realised that this Palestinian petty Marxist probably fell asleep during the relevant lesson and missed the most important bit. Israel is not South Africa and it is not the ‘White State’ or the ‘White man’ who plunders Palestine, it is actually the ‘Jewish state.’

In her Guardian article, Israeli Rachel Shabi explained in the clearest of terms why she has a problem with Galloway. “One reason that many left-leaning Jews don’t join the BDS movement is precisely because the boycott is perceived to be about rage against people, rather than an effective political tool.” There you go, plain and clear, according to Shabi BDS is there to appease the ‘Left-leaning Jews’. It is not about Palestine or the Palestinians, not even about justice or universalism, it is just a ‘political tool’. In fact, this clumsy statement by Shabi may explain why more and more of us regard the BDS, in its current form, as nothing short of a ‘controlled opposition’ dominated by Jewish tribal interests. (According to some Israeli sources, it is also largely funded by liberal Zionist George Soros’ Open Society.)

But here are some critical questions for the BDS Committee, Shabi and Soros. Do you really want to form a totalitarian movement dominated by an intellectually lame ‘big brother’ that will tell us exactly what we may talk about and how we may express ourselves? Do you really want to turn Palestine into a synagogue and the solidarity movement into a yeshiva? Does the prospect of intellectual and spiritual freedom not appeal to you? After decades of abuse, don’t the Palestinian people deserve freedom?

Let me be clear. I believe that BDS is a force for good but BDS leadership had better reflect a little and start to focus on the real enemies of justice and of Palestine rather than harassing the most dedicated voices in this discourse.

But still, one question is still unresolved. Almost a year ago we discovered that BDS had compromised the most fundamental of Palestinian rights: the Right of Return. In an entirely underhand way the BDS National Committee had changed the wording of its mission statement from demanding that Israel ends

Its occupation and colonization of all Arab lands (http://www.bdsmovement.net/call)
to
Its occupation and colonization of all Arab lands occupied in June 1967 (http://www.bdsmovement.net/bdsintro)

BDS made this change without alerting its affiliated organization. In fact an Israeli BDS activist confirmed to me that the change was made to appease the ‘Jews in the movement’. However, in spite of the wide publicising of this strange conduct by BDS, the organisation has, to date, failed to clarify its position. For more than 8 months since this crucial question was raised, BDS remains silent – but it took the BDS Committee in Ramallah less than five hours to react to Galloway and to disassociate itself from him.

The message is clear. BDS, in its current form, is an occupied territory. If it wants to save itself, (and I hope it does), it must be de-Zionised – and immediately. If it fails to do this, it will be remembered as possibly the most repugnantly treacherous chapter in the history of the Palestinian struggle. And this is indeed painful and tragic.

Comment by an uprooted Palestinian:

It is not the first time where Galloway subject to smear campaigns launched by the fifth pillar within Palestinian activists thus feeding the zionists propaganda and serve it’s hasbara machine while claiming that “ Activists for Palestine have to have the same goal as Palestinians – the liberation of Palestine.

Galloway “crossed the borders of solidarity” like he did three years ago. SAYING  “I don’t debate with Israelis. I don’t recognise Israel.”  He Entered the TABOO zone.

How long has Israel been claiming Iran nuke imminent?

ISRAEL OF COURSE REALLY DOES HAVE THEM BUT THE UN & IAEA DOES NOTHING
Source

The US media is once again reporting Israeli speculation on Iranian attempts to build a nuclear weapon.
Now, I do think the current Iranian government would like to have nuclear weapons capability.
But here’s a timeline of Israeli warnings on Iranian nukes (via Opinio Juris)

1984: West German intelligence sources claim that Iran’s production of a bomb “is entering its final stages.” US Senator Alan Cranston claims Iran is seven years away from making a weapon.
1992: Israeli parliamentarian Benjamin Netanyahu tells his colleagues that Iran is 3 to 5 years from being able to produce a nuclear weapon.
1995: The New York Times reports that US and Israeli officials fear “Iran is much closer to producing nuclear weapons than previously thought” – less than five years away. Netanyahu claims the time frame is three to five years.
1996: Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres claims Iran will have nuclear weapons in four years.
1998: Former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld claims Iran could build an ICBM capable of reaching the US within five years.
1999: An Israeli military official claims that Iran will have a nuclear weapon within five years.
2001: The Israeli Minister of Defence claims that Iran will be ready to launch a nuclear weapon in less than four years.
2002: The CIA warns that the danger of nuclear weapons from Iran is higher than during the Cold War, because its missile capability has grown more quickly than expected since 2000 – putting it on par with North Korea.
2003: A high-ranking Israeli military officer tells the Knesset that Iran will have the bomb by 2005 — 17 months away.
2006: A State Department official claims that Iran may be capable of building a nuclear weapon in 16 days.
2008: An Israeli general tells the Cabinet that Iran is “half-way” to enriching enough uranium to build a nuclear weapon and will have a working weapon no later than the end of 2010.
2009: Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak estimates that Iran is 6-18 months away from building an operative nuclear weapon.
2010: Israeli decision-makers believe that Iran is at most 1-3 years away from being able to assemble a nuclear weapon.
2011: IAEA report indicates that Iran could build a nuclear weapon within months.
2013: Israeli intelligence officials claim that Iran could have the bomb by 2015 or 2016.

There shouldn’t be any doubt that it is entirely foolish to rely on Israeli intelligence on the matter.

Israel rejects US report on Israel-PA education

The Zionist Education Ministry has rejected the findings of a US State Department funded study, which has claimed that the textbooks taught in Gaza and the West Bank don’t teach hatred toward Jews. The Ministry has called the report “profoundly unobjective”. The American Jewish advocacy group, ADL, has called the report “distortion of facts”. The rest of the Israel Hasbara Committee members (Jewish Week, JTA, algemeiner, HuffingtonPost, JPost, NPR, The Beast, etc.), claimed the report, from “one sided” to “antisemitic”.

In fact, the report, titled ‘Victims of Our Own Narratives’ has tried to cover-up the fact that Israeli school textbooks do teach hatred toward Arabs, Muslims, Christians and all the other non-Jewish people based on Jewish holy book Talmud. This fact was admitted in 2007 by Professor Daniel Bar-Tal of Tel Aviv University, after studying 124 elementary, middle- and high school textbooks on grammar and Hebrew literature, history, geography and citizenship. He wrote: “The early textbooks tended to describe acts of Arabs as hostile, deviant, cruel, immoral, unfair, with the intention to hurt Jews and to annihilate the State of Israel. Within this frame of reference, Arabs were delegitimized by the use of such labels as ‘robbers,’ ‘bloodthirsty,’ and ‘killers”. Another Israeli professor Nurit Peled-Elhanan, daughter of Israel’s 1967 War hero, Gen. Peled, had come to the same conclusion.

The report in question is based on a study of Israeli and Palestinian textbooks conducted by a team of Israeli and Palestinian researchers and led by professor Bruce Wexler, a Jewish psychiatrist at the Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Wexler and the panel of 19 academics, who surveyed over 3,100 excerpts from 168 Israeli and Palestinian textbooks – have blasted the Zionist regime and the Jewish lobby for rejecting the report “of being politically motivated”.

The report has exposed decades of Israel’s anti-Palestinian propaganda lies that Palestinian kids are brought-up on hatred toward Jews. Successive Zionist regimes have used this lie as trump card in underminding the claim that an independent Palestinian state is overdue. This is also a “biblical truth” among majority of US lawmakers.

Both the Israeli and Palestinian communities should be commended for this important positive aspect of their books. Extreme negative characterizations of the other of his sort are present in textbooks elsewhere in the world,” claimed the report.

The study was launched in 2009 by the Council of Religious Institutions of the Holy Land, a multifaith body that aims “to prevent religion from being used as a source of conflict, and to promote mutual respect,” according to its website. It is comprised of the Israeli Chief Rabbinate, the Palestinian Islamic Waqf, and the heads of Christian churches in Israel and the West Bank.
The Zionist regime had boycotted the study, while Palestinian Authority officials cooperated with the study group.

Israel and the “Iranian Threat”

Latuff-IranTarget-Big[1]

Posted on January 12, 2013

Yesterday, Zionist prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu told a group of visiting US Senators that if relected his first priority would be to stop Iran acquiring a nuclear bomb by all means (Israel has between 240-400 nuclear bombs of its own). He thanked the group for their blind support for the Zionist entity. The Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) touted strong bipartisn support for the Zionist entity in the United States.

“As everyone in Israel knows, there are a lot of things we disagree on in America – but our agenda in this part of the world is same as your agenda,” said McConnell.

Netanyahu also raised his concerns about Obama’s nomination of former Senator Chuck Hagel as next Secretary of Defense. Hagel’s problem with Jews is not that he hates Jews or Israel – but because he refuses to take orders from Israel or the AIPAC. Bret Stephens in the Israel hasbara media outlet Wall Street Journal called Hagel antisemite because Hagel used the term “Jewish Lobby” in a conversation with Aaron David Miller, the former Middle East negotiator who doesn’t hide either his Jewishness or his support for the Zionist entity. Hagel, though, has been against US invasion of Iraq but believes that Bush was driven by the “oil Lobby” and not by the Israel-Firsters in his administration. Hagel is for military budget cuts and believe a war with Iran would be against the national interests of the United States.

Making a statement such as “the Israel lobby controls US foreign policy” is not antisemitic. These sentiments have been articulated by many Jews in the past and have credible evidence to support them, including admissions by the chief Israel lobby in America, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). The former President of AIPAC, David Steiner, was actually caught on tape admitting as such. When AIPAC sends a letter demanding that Congressmen support a particular position, most immediately sign it. Almost every major US politician over the last 3 decades has attended the annual AIPAC conference on more than one occasion, and AIPAC’s own website even used to boast about how many pieces of legislation it was responsible for.

In US Congress, the anti-Iran crusade is headed by Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Foreign Affairs Committee Chairwoman. She has Cuban Jewish family roots. British veteran journalist and author, Alan Hart, called her Zionist lobby’s First Lady in US Congress. She was co-star of a so-called “documentary” entitled “La amenaza iraní” (The Iranian Threat), in which she said, without blushing, that the US should attack Iran in order to “avert bomb explosions in various Latin American capitals”. The Israeli propaganda crap was aired by US-based Univision TV, a Spanish language network owned by Israeli-American Jewish billionaire Haim Saban. “I’m a one-issue guy and my issue is Israel,” Saban told his interviewer in 2004. Haim Saban was born in Egypt. After the 1956 Suez War, his parents “moved to Tel Aviv where his family lived in a one-room apartment and shared a bathroom, with a hooker and a pimp,” quoted by the NYT, September 5, 2004.

In 2009, another ridiculous “documentary” released by Univision involved Venezuelan consul in Miami, Livia Acosta, in an absurd cyber-plot against the US allegedly promoted by “Iranian diplomats and Mexican computer hackers”. This was the pretext used for expelling her from the United States in a move that was widely seen as an American political revenge for Venezuela´s independent foreign policy.

The 120-nation-strong Non-Aligned Movement NAM) have been calling for a nuclear weapon-free zone (NWFZ) in the Middle East for years. Washington still formally agrees, but insists that Israel be exempted—and has given no hint of allowing such provisions to apply to itself. “The time is not yet ripe for creating the zone,” Secretary of State Hillary Clinton stated at the NPT conference in 2010, while Washington insisted that no proposal can be accepted that calls for Israel’s nuclear program to be placed under the auspices of the IAEA or that calls on signers of the NPT, specifically Washington, to release information about “Israeli nuclear facilities and activities, including information pertaining to previous nuclear transfers to Israel.”

Claude Salhani, editor of the Middle East Times has different theory of the “Iranian Threat”. He wrote recently: “The real danger emanating from Iran today comes not from its control of the world’s busiest oil routes (Straits of Hormuz), not from a potential capability to deploy nuclear weapons, not from its support of groups (Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Hizballah) conducting acts of terrorism, but rather from Iran’s interests in the internet (cyber threat)”. And you thought Netanyahu displaying Iran’s nuclear cartoon at the UN General Assembly, September 2012, is the only idiot!

Let me not forget the “Iranian Threat” coming from Iran’s Latin American allies. Last month, Obama signed a bill to control Iranian influence in Latin America. The Zionist lawmakers have been whining for years that Iran and Hizballah have missile bases in Cuba and Venezuela which they intend to use against the US and Israeli interests in the US.

In November 2010, American author and journalist Belen Fernandez in an article, titled Distorting Iranian-Latin American Relations, she wrote: ““Iranian ‘penetration’ in Latin America has in recent years become a pet issue of Israeli Foreign Ministry officials and American neoconservative pundits, many of whom take offense at the perceived failure of the US government to adequately appreciate the security threat posed by, for example, the inauguration of a weekly flight from Caracas to Tehran with a stop in Damascus“.

Some Israel-Firsters have even claimed Iran or other pro-Iranian forces of “establishing mosques or Islamic centers throughout the region” in order to advance violent jihad “on our doorstep”.

“Latin American countries, especially those that follow an independent foreign policy, trust Iran because they know that the Iranians cannot be pressured into betraying an agreement that disturbs the US or its allies. This is a main reason of Iran´s rising popularity in Latin America despite the propaganda of Zionist-owned media outlets and the US political and diplomatic actions,” wrote Yusuf Fernandez, a journalist and secretary Muslim Federation of Spain.

Sen. Paul: ‘Time to end US aid to Israel’

Republican Sen. Rand Paul is in Israel to gain Jewish support for his GOP presidential nomination bid in 2016. It seems he has not learned a lesson from his father Rep. Ron Paul’s failed bid for GOP presidential nomination last year because the Jewish Lobby considered him a vicious antisemite. Like his father, he too, believes in stopping USAID to Israel, Egypt and Pakistan – and no US wars for Israel.

Sen. Rand Paul accompanied by a group of Christian evangelists landed in Jerusalem yesterday for the first time. He is schedule to meet Zionist president Shimon Peres and prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He told his Jewish audience at the Jerusalem Institute, an Israeli Hasbara (propaganda) think tank, that a economically bankrupt America would not be able to defend Israel from its regional enemies.

Paul said it is one thing if you are giving foreign aid out of your savings, but it is something completely different if you are “borrowing from one country to give to another. You have to wonder how wide that is, and what the repercussions will be.”

Paul said that he was concerned the US was trying to win friends in the region by selling them arms (Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar and UAE) where you can have a situation down the line where Israel would have to face up against Egypt supplied with US state-of-the-art tanks.

Paul, though acknowledged that he will not see an end to USAID to Israel in his lifetime, said he was “all for gradualism” and would start ending foreign aid to those countries who don’t act as allies towards Israel. One wonder which country Paul had in mind because an anti-Israel country has zero chance of buying arms from United States.

Paul said that as far as aid to Israel is concerned, he is not suggesting disengagement or that the US should stop selling armaments, but said “it wouldn’t be a one-way street, it would be a sale, not a grant.

In 2011, Sen. Rand Paul got into hotwater with Jewish groups when he told CNN Zionist Jew host Wolf Blitzer that with such a crushing economic picture in the US, “we just can’t do it anymore”. In response, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA), the highest ranking Jewish member of Congress had slammed Paul.

Zionist entity is the single biggest receiver of USAID. According to late Thomas R. Stauffer, Israel had cost US$3 trillion to US taxpayers between 1970-2002, excluding $3 billion worth military handout per year and replacement of Israeli military loses during its wars with its neighboring nations.

The other major reciepants of US financial bribe are Egypt ($1.3 billion per year after it recognized Zionist entity in 1980s), Pakistan ($28 billion since 1960s) and Jordan ($300-400 million per year since 1970s).

President Assad: ‘I’m not leaving Syria’

Posted on |

ff_assad_asma_bashar[1]
Zionist media’s recent lies that Syrian president Bashar Assad has been cornered by Western-supported armed rebels groups fighting under FSA umbrella and Russia was looking for a safe heaven for Assad family, but in Russia itself. The other lie was that Israel is making contacts with the actors in the post-Assad regime.

Defying these and many other Hasbara lies, on Sunday, Bashar Assad spoke to a packed hall at the Opera House in central Damascus and audience frequently broke into cheer and applause.

He ignored US-Israel-Turkey-Saudia-Qatar demand for him to step-down in favor of pro-Israel rebel candidate – but said that he was willing to hold dialogue with Syrian opposition groups who have not betrayed Syria for the benefit of foreign powers. He proposed a three-stage political solution and condemned foreign armed terrorist groups. Read English translation of his address in Arabic in full here.

He assured that the ongoing conflict in Syria is nor between the state and the opposition but rather between the Syrian nation and its enemies. “The first stage of a political solution would require that regional powers stop funding and arming anti-government rebels, an end to terrorist operations and controlling the borders,” he said.

Assad also stressed that the government “will not have dialogue with a puppet made by the West,” and that “Government will call for a comprehensive national dialogue in the near future“.

A few days ago, the United Nations reported that 60,000 people have been killed in Syria’s 22-month old political violence. The death toll was provided partially by the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which is sponsored by no other than Israel-Firster British Foreign Minister William Hague who told British Friends of Israel in 2010 that he will defend Israel against Iran.

Though the anti-Assad Middle Eastern leaders and Jewish lobby groups are crying for a US-NATO military intervention in Syria to remove Assad – US military generals are resisting to start a regional war which will result in dragging Iran, Hizballah, Hamas  (Palestinian Resistance) and probably Russia and China on Assad’s side. They know that in such a regional war, Israel will be forced to face off against Islamic regimes, which, unlike the secular regimes in the past, are driven by faith. The Jewish army has already lost to faith-driven Hizballah and Hamas fighters in the past. Israel’s nuclear threat will be out of question because the radioactive fallout will also annihilate a greater part Jewish population along with Arab population.

As I wrote before, the Muslim world should fear more from Saudi-Qatar funded Shia-Sunni sectarian divide than the US-Israeli military threat. British veteran writer and author Patrick Seale agrees with me on that point. He wrote on January 3, 2013: “The curse from which the Arabs are suffering is the flare up of hate between Sunnis and Shi’is. These brothers in Islam – worshiping the same God and honouring the same Prophet – behave today like irreconcilable opponents. Nothing has weakened the Arabs more than this fraternal feud, and nothing has brought greater joy to their enemies“.

Watch Human Right Watch – A Tribute to Prof Richard Falk

By Gilad Atzmon

This week we learned that Human Rights Watch (HRW) has expelled from its ranks top U.N. official Professor Richard Falk.

The juicy details have been kindly supplied by Israeli Hasbara outlet UN Watch blog.“We commend Human Rights Watch and its director Kenneth Roth for doing the right thing, and finally removing this enemy of human rights from their important organization,” said Hillel Neuer, a rabid Israeli supporter as well as Executive Director of UN Watch. “A man who supports the Hamas terrorist organization, and who was just condemned by the British Foreign Office for his cover endorsement of a virulently antisemitic book, has no place in an organization dedicated to human rights,”

Hasbara stooge that he is, Neuer using every Zionist trick in the book, misinforms and misleads his readers. First of all, Hamas is not a ‘terrorist organisation’, it is a democratically elected government and the book to which Neuer refers is obviously mine – ‘The Wandering Who’ – which, was endorsed by Richard Falk and some of the most important humanists and scholars of our time– a book which has been a best-seller for six months in both Britain and the USA, has been translated into 10 languages and is available in seven editions in countries that all strictly legislate against any form of racial incitement as well Holocaust denial. The fact is that the Zionists and their ‘Progressive’ twins will have to accept that The Wandering Who is, after all, strictly kosher.

So, Professor Falk did indeed endorse my book and, like all my other endorsers, did not cave into pressure. This is should indeed concern all Zionist and their agents.

”A transformative story told with unflinching integrity that all (especially Jews) who care about real peace, as well as their own identity, should not only read, but reflect upon and discuss widely.” Professor Richard Falk on The Wandering Who

But the problem is not the tribally oriented UN Watch and its Zionist Executive Director. After all, they only do what we expect Zionists to do – lie, harass, abuse, and, if necessary, fabricate evidence. No, far more interesting is the behaviour of the allegedly ‘progressive’ ‘Human Right Watch’ and its director Kenneth Roth.

On the face of it, HRW is an independent, Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) ‘dedicated to defending and protecting human rights’. But it takes no more than a few seconds of research to find out that the primary donor of the HRW is liberal-Zionist George Soros and his Open Society Foundation – the same Soros and ‘Open’ society that supports most Palestinian NGOs including BDS which may perhaps explain why the BDS in Ramallah was so eager to compromise on that most precious Palestinian right i.e. The Right of Return. Nor will it surprise you to learn that the same Soros who funded HRW has been dedicated to ‘exposing’ of Hamas’ failures on human rights issues? Is this not what you would expect from a liberal Zionist spin meister?

In my new satirical work, A Glossary of Zionist Power which I am now completing, I include entries for Soros and his Open Society. In the book, Soros is a ‘Jew who supports a lot of good causes that are also very good for the Jews’ and The Open Society Foundation ‘is dedicated to the transformation of deprived people into Guardian readers’. Surely I will now have to add an entry for the HRW and Roth. Both are nothing short of ‘Zionist fig-leaves’ and, like all Jewish progressive outlets that are dedicated to Jewish tribal and ethno centric campaigning, HRW is there to monitor, control and even stifle any criticism of Israel if it should ever get too close to the bone, i.e. touching on the Jewish character of the Jewish state,

Prof’ Falk had little chance of surviving within such a tribal milieu and the reason is pretty simple. Unlike Zionist Neuer, Liberal Zionist Soros, and ‘Anti-Zionist Zionist’ Roth, Prof’ Falk actually represents the ultimate success of the Zionist project. Early Zionism promised to transform the Jews into ‘people like all other people’. Zionism vowed to bring to life a Jew who transcends the tribal, a Jew who think universally and ethically. Early Zionists also believed that such a transformation could be achieved only in Palestine. Of course, they were wrong but no one can ignore the fact that the greatest and most prolific Jewish universalists are actually Israelis (Prof’ Yishayahu Leibovitch, Prof Israel Shahak, Nurit & Miko Peled, Gideon Levy, Amira Hass, Uri Avneri, Ilan Pappe, Israel Shamir and many, many more). But Prof’ Falk and a few others have managed to achieve a similar goal in the Diaspora. Those Jews whom we most admire and whose integrity we most trust such as Prof’ Norton Mezvinsky, Prof’ Norman Finkelstein, Prof’ Falk  – all have something in common – they do not operate within Jews-only political cells. Unlike JVP, IJAN, HRW and Mondweiss, all of whom are dedicated primarily to promoting Jewish interests, they are dedicated to universal values.
So I argue that Prof’ Falk provides us with a glimpse into the possibility of true Jewish emancipation – the capacity to break out of the mental, intellectual and non-ethical ghetto. Moreover, this latest tale of HRW’s Herem (Kosher expulsion) of one of the greatest humanists of our generation is actually an educational event.

For many years, many of us saw Zionism and Israel as the mother and father of contemporary evil, but now, many of us have come to realise that Jewish progressive politics is every bit as sinister but, unlike Zionism that is only tainted with deception, the Jewish progressive discourse is inherently dishonest – it speaks universal but it thinks tribal.

While our disagreements with Israel and Zionism are clear, the Modus operandi adopted by AZZs and their relentless attempt to dominate the progressive discourse while, at the same time, stifling freedom of expression leave more and more humanists suspicious of any form of Jewish politics – be it right, left or centre.

I like to think that my Wandering Who was the first attempt to discuss these issues openly. I wrote it because I, too, am a wanderer who decided, instead of dwelling on someone else’s land, to leave my homeland. Perhaps Prof’ Falk endorsed my work, because, like myself, he too is a wanderer. He self-reflects, examining his identity and his notion of justice from a transcendental point of view. Like myself, he is an artist, a poet, a man who searches, against all the odds, for beauty, peace and truth. On the other hand, George Soros’ Open Society Foundation which contributed $100 million to HRW just to silence ethically and aesthetically driven souls such as Prof’ Falk and others.

Not The Wisest Phil Around

By Gilad Atzmon

God bless Philip Weiss, the progressive Jewish blogger brave enough to admit in public those things other Jewish ethnic activists prefer to shove under the carpet. A year ago, Weiss was brave enough to confess to me that it is ‘Jewish self interests’ that stands at the core of his pro Palestinian activism. Also, a few weeks ago, the same Weiss was honest enough to announce that his Jewish ‘progressive’ internet journal, Mondowiess, changed its comment policy and “will no longer serve as a forum to pillory Jewish culture and religion as the driving factors in Israeli and US policy.”

But this week, the very same Weiss published a new polemic on his website. He now thinks that “it’s time for the media to talk about Zionism.” So, now Weiss is happy to join with the rest of us in talking about Zionism – so long as we avoid discussing ‘Jewishness’. Well, I’m afraid that Philip Weiss may have missed the train since, by now, many of us have already grasped that the time is ripe to talk about Jewishness and the role of ‘Jewish culture as the driving factor in Israeli and US policy.’
Weiss’ logic is no doubt fascinating. This Jewish ethnic activist does provide us with an insight into the level of deceit that is, unfortunately, inherent to Jewish left politics.

Weiss thinks Jews should ask themselves whether they really are ‘unsafe’ in America. Well, Weiss must know plenty about ‘safety’ since it was he himself who felt that it may be ‘risky’ to discuss Jewish culture and religion on his own Mondoweiss.

“Zionism,” he continues, “draws on a person’s worldview and has a religious character, it supplies meaning to his or her life.” Well again, Weiss should know because, like all Zionists, both overt and covert, he operates within a Jews-only political cell namely “Jews Voice for Peace’ (JVP). For some reason, just like his less enlightened brethren, this very ‘progressive’ activist prefers to surround himself with members of his own tribe.

Weiss well knows why the media avoids discussing Zionism, “it would involve a lot of squeamish self-interrogation on the part of Jews, ” and Weiss knows what this means. That’s why he, and his Jewish partner Adam Shapiro, banned Jeff Blankfort from commenting on their site – Blankfort was critically discussing Jewish related topics. Weiss couldn’t allow it.

Weiss is brave enough to admit that “the acknowledgment of Jewish prominence in the Establishment, and of the power of Zionism, would make a lot of Jews uncomfortable”, but he isn’t bold enough to admit that the problem is far worse, since Jewish anti-Zionists like himself and JVP are relentlessly seeking a similar hegemony within the Palestinian solidarity discourse and openly campaign against prominent activists who challenge Jewish power. Is it possible that what we are dealing here is a tribally-driven, power seeking tendency that is inherent to Jewish politics? The answer is a categorical yes, and I provide all the relevant information on this in my latest book The Wandering Who.

Weiss regards himself as an anti-Zionist while, as far as his language is concerned, he actually manifests every possible Zionist symptom. “Silence’ on issues to do with Zionist power is “bad for Jews,” says Weiss. Like any Hasbara parrot he repeats the old mantra of ‘good’ vs. ‘bad’ for the Jews. But then isn’t this just what you would expect from a Zionist?

It doesn’t take Weiss too long to drop his political bomb: the silence over Zionist power “allows people who are justifiably angry over our foreign policy to believe that all Jews support Israel.” Here, Weiss is absolutely correct. It is about time to deliver the message to the American people and the entire world – Not all Jews support Israel! In fact, at least two dozens American Jews including Weiss oppose Zionism because, as Weiss confesses, because “it is really bad for the Jews.”

If you think you’ve had enough of Weiss’ Judeo-centrism read this: “Zionism came out of the real condition of Jews in Europe in the late 19th and 20th centuries. I can well imagine being a Zionist at other periods of Jewish history. I would have been a Zionist if I had been in Kafka’s circle in Prague in the 19-teens with the rise of anti-Semitism. I would have been a Zionist if I had been born into the family of my mother’s best friend in Berlin in the 1930s.”

In this embarrassing passage, Weiss, the so-called ‘anti’ Zionist, actually admits that considerations of Jewish safety would justify the colonization of Palestine. This non-ethical vision is also apparent in JVP latest ‘educational’ video. It is clearly consistent with the Zionist take on the primacy of Jewish suffering. Which is exactly what you would expect from a Jew who operates politically within Jewish racially-segregated cells. There is only one possible conclusion – Jewish anti Zionism is a myth. Jewish opposition to Zionism is just another form of Zionism-lite that, just like it’s rightwing counterpart, locates Jewish self-interest firmly at its core.

Weiss is a pretty clumsy spin-doctor. He argues that the current militant and totalitarian aspects of Israeli society flow from a ‘Zionist belief system’. Here, Weiss misleads his readers and I think he does this consciously. Israel defines itself as the Jewish State and as the true embodiment of Jewish culture. Its barbarism is the direct outcome of its interpretation of Jewish texts and spirit. If anything, Zionism was born to ‘civilize’ the Diaspora Jew who, certain 19th century emancipated secular Jews found so repellent. So it is not Zionism that makes Israel barbarous, it is the way Israelis interpret their cultural, spiritual and textual heritage. Of course, Weiss is welcome to suggest that there is another possible interpretation to Jewish heritage, but he should be precise and point to those Jewish texts that preach universal ethics and world peace.

Weiss reckons that once we should be brave enough to deal with Zionism, “liberal Zionists will be pressed to decide what they believe in more, liberalism or Zionism.” But still I’m l puzzled. If Weiss is so open and tolerant, surely he would allow discussion on his own website concerning the Jewish character of the Jewish State. He would invite a discussion concerning the Jewishness of the Jewish Lobby. I believe that Philip Weiss is operating unwillingly and unwittingly as a Zionist fig leaf. He invests all is intellectual energy diverting attention from the root cause of the problem – namely Jewish culture and Jewish identity politics. And why? Probably because of his own unease with is own Anti Zionist Zionist (AZZ) behaviour.

Syria: Only a few more weeks

Syria: Chemical weapons propaganda at the next stage.

A new propaganda story is now being added to the “Syria” topic. This topic is not really new. However, it is getting more and more coverage right now.

The media began, few days ago, massive campaigns on a “most likely use” of chemical weapons by the Syrian Arab army. The absurdity of these reports do not need be mentioned – this is already so obvious.

The important thing is something else. The type of the chemical warfare agent is mentionedSarin.

It gets just mentioned as clearly as the fact that the gloomy Syrian chemists have “already mixed this poison gas and have also filled it into bombs”. Sarin is stored in two separate components, which are only mixed shortly before use.

The efficacy of Sarin, which is at a level which is enough for its use, is not eternal reserved by this mixture, it varies from a few days to five weeks by the use of certain stabilizers. In other words, one can expect a provocation by the use of chemical weapons in Syria within this period.

US-Flugzeugträgers "Eisenhower"The approach of the U.S. aircraft carrier “USS Dwight D. Eisenhower” to the Syrian coast is also to note. Equally interesting is the recent visit of the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Qatar, General al-Attiya, to Tunisia.

The outcome of this visit was that units of the Tunisian military were put under the command of Qatar (this can be found at Voltaire.net and in a report by the Tunisian Ministry of Defence).

There are also the earlier announcements about the massive concentration of vast hordes of bandits and terrorists in Lebanon and Turkey in a direction of impact towards Damascus and Idlib (Idleb).

allegedly hama Syria: Only a few more weeks
Hama in Fog

The pre-emptive strike of the Syrian Arab army has apparently extended the deadline a bit. Nevertheless, the upcoming weeks will probably get “darned hot” in Syria.

The picture from above is from a website by the terrorists and it allegedly represents the Syrian city of Hama after the use of chemical weapons.

In the upcoming days and weeks, there will certainly be a flood of such pictures from Syria (in order to increase the propaganda against the Syrian government and to boost the possibility for further actions against it).

Turkish anti-Resistance propaganda for Israel

Posted on December 4, 2012

Forget Israeli propaganda that Turkish Muslims support Hamas because they too hate Jews. Just watch ‘Building Bridges’ – an interfaith dialogue show on Turkish television A9TV. Two of its hosts, Ece Koc and Gulsah Gucyetmez Resimler, tell their audience that Palestinian military resistance against the Jewish occupiers of their land – is against the teachings of Holy Qur’an.

Ece Koc, is a Turkish economist, writer, interfaith activist and peace advocate. Her articles are often published in Israeli newspapers. In her November 25 Op-Ed at Israel National News, she wrote:

“Palestinian Arabs need to know that firing rockets at Israel is incompatible with Islam, and that Islam is a religion of peace that forbids the killing of others. In this respect it is really hard to understand what benefit Palestinian Arabs are seeking to achieve with those rocket attacks. Firing rockets and killing people is of no advantage to them. As a consequence the Israelis say that they have the right to defend themselves and then start firing back. This mentality has never done any good for decades.”

Gulsah is an engineer by education. She is also a producer at A9TV where she dewells on religious subjects as women’s rights in Islam, Christianity and Judaism.

Her recent article, entitled ‘ How long will the Israel-Palestine ceasefire holds?’ – shows her ignorance of the three Abrahamic faiths. she has confused the promised Jewish Messiah with the appearance of Shia’s 12th Imam Mahdi in order to bring peace between Israeli Jews and Palestinians.

The Palestinian resistance groups, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Fatah – are all Sunni Muslims who don’t believe in Imam Mahdi. But they do believe in the coming of ‘Jesus son of Mary’ to lead pious Muslims. Jews, on the other hand, don’t accept Jesus as a prophet or the promised Jewish Messiah. Read her article here.

Gulsah quotes one of greatest Jewish scholar Rabbi Moses Maimonides to prove the arrival of Imam Mahdi (Messiah).

“Whoever doesn’t believe in him, or doesn’t wait his coming, denies not only other prophets but also the Torah and Moshe our teacher,” Rabbi Maimonides, Mishnah, Torah, Laws of Kings 11.1.

Muslim scholars have claimed that this and several other prophecies mentioned in Torah (The Old Testament) refer to the arrival of the Last Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). No Shia religious authority has claimed that the said prophecy refers to the coming of Imam Mahdi or Christ.

British professor Dr. Martin Lings in his 1983 book, ‘Muhammad: his life based on the earliest sources‘ did claim that a Christian monk by the name Bahira after meeting Muhammad, aged 10 – had warned his uncle Abu Talib (father of Imam Ali):

“Take thy brother’s son back to his country, and guard him against the Jews, for by God, if they see him and know of him that which I know, they will contrive evil against him. Great things are in store for this brother’s son of thine“.

The Monk was referring to Israelites’ belief that the Final Messenger will be among the Hebrew tribes – while the boy was born into Quresh, a non-Hebrew tribe.
Gulsah also claims the Shmoneh Esrei (Amidah), a prayer which Jews recite three times a day, also contains a prayer to Allah for the coming of Imam Mahdi.

Gulsah ends her article by saying:

“Full peace has still not been established between Israel and Palestine. Yet this is astonishing because Muslims are the children of the Prophet Ishmael (pbuh) and the Jews of the Prophet Jacob (pbuh). The way that two brothers descended from prophets are in a state of conflict is a miracle, and obviously the work of satan, the antichrist. By Allah’s leave, Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will thwart that stratagem. And, insha’ALLAH, a climate will be established in which Jews and Muslims can live together, in peace. We are currently going through birth pains described in both the Torah and the hadiths but, insha’Allah, everyone will soon see that Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) is the only solution for our salvation.”

The world history tells us that Jews lived among Muslim societies in peace for over 1,300 years before the creation of the Zionist entity in historic Palestine. Arab-hating Jewish scholar Dr. Bernard Lewis in his 1984 book ‘The Jews of Islam’, called Muslim Spain (711-1492) as the “Golden Age of Jews”. Furthermore, the great majority of world Jewish population are not decendents of prophet Jacob (Israel). They’re Asiatic Khazarian Turks who converted to Judaism during the 10th century.

Having said that – the answer to her question over ceasefire – according to Hamas and several NGO groups, the Zionist regime has already violated the ceasefire several times.

Aylin Kocaman is another A9TV commentator and producer of the ‘Building Bridges’ show. Her columns are published both in Turkey and Israel. In her latest column at Israeli daily Jerusalem Post she claimed that Holy Qur’an allows Jews to live in Palestine, and therefore, they have the right to have a Jewish state in Palestine.

The ‘Building Bridges’ show is produced in association with the US-based Western Training Provider Network (WTPN).
